🎧BJHH: 124 - Almost All Pitching (Just Like the Jays)
Their lineup remains frustrating but the Blue Jays' pitching staff is rounding into form, so in this week's episode we talked Bassitt, RodrÃguez, Manoah, Gausman, the red hot Justin Turner, and more!
After two ugly ones early on, Chris Bassitt has his ERA down to 4.03 after a second straight gem in a strong series opener against the Yankees on Monday. José BerrÃos and Yusei Kikuchi are rolling. Yariel RodrÃguez had a very good debut against the Rockies on Saturday. The bullpen has looked great behind a suddenly dominant Yimi GarcÃa, and is only getting stronger with the imminent returns of Erik Swanson and Jordan Romano.
The Blue Jays’ pitching staff is rounding into form, in other words.
Granted, Alek Manoah’s problems remain a problem, but Kevin Gausman… should probably be fine! And in this episode, Nick and Stoeten talk about all that, plus Bassitt's comments on pitching injuries, the red hot Justin Turner, various other hitters, and more!
