The Blue Jays have now spent a week back home in Toronto, and it’s finally starting to feel like this is a real team with a real shot to do something special in 2021. José Berríos looked good in his first start as a Blue Jay, the bullpen is still a work in progress but on the upswing, and with the Red Sox on their way in for a weekend series the vibes are out of this world.
On this week’s Blue Jays Happy Hour we talk about all that, and also have a great chat with Sportsnet senior writer David Singh (@ByDavidSingh) about the job of a feature writer and his excellent recent pieces on Alek Manoah (and his mom), George Springer, and Alejandro Kirk. Have a listen!
