Submit your questions for next week's mail bag!
Plus a small sneak peek at part of my upcoming Weekend Up! post...
I just checked and apparently I haven’t done a mail bag since before the season started! That seems completely impossible to me, but I suppose the archive doesn’t lie.
I also suppose that it’s high time we did something about that!
To do so, of course, I’ll need questions, and this is the place to submit them. So leave me your best Jays Q's in the comments below, and I'll supply a whole bunch of A's early next week!
Of course — deep breath — as always, the ability to post comments around here is for paid subscribers only. So if you want to ask a question you'll have to subscribe or upgrade.
Yes, this is a way to hopefully entice as many folks as I can to upgrade to a paid subscription. And, yes, I'm sorry about that.
I’m also sorry about talking about paid subscriptions so much! It seems to work when I do, and since I like being able to do things like pay my rent, here we are again. I know times are tough and the world is a ghastly place and all that. I certainly don’t begrudge anyone who isn’t able to do it. But this is how I make my living, so if you can, and you value what I do, it would thrill me to no end to have your support — or to get you back if you’re someone who has supported in the past but has had the credit card Substack has on file expire!
Now, before we move on, and before you all go and rush to submit a bunch of questions about how terrible Yusei Kikuchi is, please let me assure you that there will be slander in the Weekend Up! piece I’ll have up on Sunday evening. I may just end up having you covered before this mail bag even comes out. And to prove it, here’s a sneak peek straight from Substack’s CMS in one of my other open browser tabs!
HEYO!
Anyway, best of luck to José Berríos in the rubber match on Sunday! What could possibly go wrong???

Is it time to trade Biggio? The Jays seem to suffer from too many players competing for roles when a good role player would do. Zimmer is the perfect example. Obviously he is in no way a starting player or even a regular platoon. But as a role player he's fantastic at what we need him for. Swapping out Biggio for a reliever we need strikes me as a good move.
Do you think Cavan Biggio could be a better hitter if he just went to the gym and bulked up a bit?
It seems like with more power and his disciplined approach, he could be more dangerous as a hitter. Maybe bigger muscles isn't the only key to power, but should help.
