Submit your questions for this week's mail bag here! (Also please be sure to check out the update on this morning's Michael Brantley post!)
Killing two birds with one stone!
NOTE: It turns out that the Michael Brantley signing is not quite as finalized as it was reported to be earlier. I’ve left a note at the top of this morning’s piece explaining the latest. Expect updates to continue there as the story evolves.
Now, on to the call for mail bag questions!
Ahoy hoy friends, with the Jays actually having given us some incredibly interesting things to talk about, I’ve decided that I should open up the ol’ mail bag again later on this week. That means I’ll need some questions, so please submit yours in the comments below!
Keep in mind, however, that the ability to post comments is for paid subscribers only.
Because of that I normally wouldn’t have sent a post like this by email to the folks out there with free subscriptions, but I’ve made an executive decision here because I wanted to also call everybody’s attention to the drama surrounding the Brantley deal.
As for the mail bag, yes, allowing only paid customers to submit questions is a way to hopefully entice some people to upgrade to a paid membership. And yes, I’m sorry to have to do it this way, because I am very aware of the state of the world and how difficult finances are for a lot of people right now. Believe me! Just please know that I genuinely love and appreciate everyone who has signed up so far, paid or otherwise. (I must say, however, that I’ve learned over the last few years that limiting the comments to paying customers only makes for a much more respectful and inviting forum than otherwise — perhaps something else to consider if you’re on the fence. Join us!)
With Springer signed, do we now focus Austin Martin full time to the infield and let him develop as a third baseman along side Jordan Groshans? A little too prospect race for third while the runner up replaces Biggio at second?
While they are in the business of acquiring high end talent, is there a possibility of getting Jose Ramirez from the Clevelanders to fill the hot corner vacancy? What would a hypothetical trade look like?
