"But as much as people will throw the idea of the farm system being barren around, we’re already seeing some successes from there."

Agreed on this. Graduating Yariel, Pearson, Pop, Little, Francis, Schneider, Horowitz, Clement, and possibly Leo and Barger from the minors all in one year is not the worst thing in the world. Yes, it probably wouldn't have happened if they were in competition for the division, and none of them project as stars, but finding out you have serviceable MLB players from your system is at least a little bit of a success story, in what is an admittedly down year.

Why can't Toronto get good writers.....does Montreal, Vancouver, and Edmonton/Calgary suffer from the same lack of talent? Who is paying all the good writer's money in Canada preventing them from writing on sports? Or do we simply suck as a journalist nation, I don't know...the best writers have been bloggers in Canada for at least 10 years+ now.

That sportswriter hall of fame graphic is the most depressing thing I will see today…man T.O. sports fans have been fed a lot of garbage for such a long time. I like the angle you played here in that it is possible to both want and shout for change, but using legitimate and rather obvious issues to make your case…we need change.

I'm pretty sure "peddling pure outrage" is painted in yard-high letters above the desk of every writer at the Sun. And Rosie DiManno, who really should work there.
