I am fully on board with going after Ramirez as that would in theory replace the offensive gap if Semien goes, but yes, the price would be steep. Another big plug for Valera! I have a feeling that we will not re-sign either Ray or Semien, but that when the off-season is over, we won't be disappointed.

Much as I hate the biz speak one cannot expect Atkins or Shapiro to speak too directly to things other teams would love to know in terms of their strategy. And there as just a lot of unknowns, possibly some unknown unknowns too. Overally I don't share the rampant raging among some fans that they and Charlie are terrible. Quite the opposite. I think they're all quite good.
