Once again, you fellas do a great show. I really enjoy it. So refreshing to hear commentary on the Jays that avoids the swirl and flush of all the Charlie bashing, Biggio sucks, Atkins and Shapiro are terrible blah blah blah. That sort of stuff is such common pedestrian nonsense among sports fans I really wish that no one would cater to it. You discuss the realities with nuance and that is terrific.
On that, are you done until next season? It seemed you were ringing a final note.
Great pod and great season, I'm not ready for this to end in the slightest. I will go to my grave confident that 81 games in Toronto instead of 36 results in at least 2 extra wins. And because of that I'm more than happy to shift the blame for them not playing here over to Dougie Ford and his shitty handling of the pandemic. The free agent season can't start soon enough, I said it on twitter but will say it again here, I see no reason to let $ get in the way of signing Ray and/or Semien. Every free agent deal has some risk involved but I simply can't see how getting the payroll up to 180 and signing those guys results in anything less than 93 wins and an upside possibility of 100. You guys made a big point of saying this season answered a lot of questions about what the potential of this core is and it's brilliant. When that's what you know you have you should not be sweating adding 10 or 20M, raise my cable bill, I don't care.
