Great stuff, Stoeten. It really is a shame how this looks like it will play out.

Ah, this is a shame, but not unexpected and perhaps not even unexpected from the day we signed him - there was always an injury risk there. But still, no good all round. So now we have a potential pitching problem. It's hard to have much confidence (if any) in Kikuchi at the moment....and did we sign him for 3 years? Yikes! Richards seems to have lost it, Merryweather too (feel sorry for him also being injured) so we need some help. Bring up Tiedemann! Well, that's not going to happen for a bunch of reasons, but it's nice to dream.

It will be interesting to see what they do, a lot of which may depend on the standings, I think. If they can stay on a playoff track with what they've got there may not be an impetus to go too hard on the trade market to find a starter. But if the Yankees start falling back to earth, or they start getting more heat from the teams behind them, maybe then they'll have to do something more drastic. As it stands, Manoah-Gausman-Berríos is a pretty good front three to go into a playoff series with!
