I was lucky enough to go to a game with my wife and my mother down the stretch in 2016 vs the trash birds. It was a one-run game and getting late. A guy in my section stood up, did the whole "OK, 3, 2..." and my wife yelled even louder than him "Sit down! It's a close game, watch it!". The guy stopped dead and sat down. It is my favourite moment watching baseball ever.

A deeply disappointing game. While I'll credit the Yankees with some good hitting Ryu put a ball right down the middle to Judge, and Richards tried to get Stanton to go after that same pitch multiple times. He was on it. I don't know if Richards shook off a different call from Jansen, but they definitely should not have been going back there.

I'm glad you mentioned the Moorcroft douchecanoe. He is annoying in the extreme. This is not nearly the first game he's been there and done exactly the same thing. One narrative I do take issue with is this "the Blue Jays are aggressive hitters, that's their game". I don't buy it. Despite marvelous overall statistics there is a reason it doesn't equate to wins. If you're not taking walks then you're losing out on guys to score when you smack home runs. And if you're swinging at early pitches and getting non-productive outs like popping it up all the time then you're helping the opponents pitching staff immensely. The Jays probably lead the league in solo home runs and non-productive outs. If they're going to be successful they need to take more walks and work opposing pitchers more.

Dude behind home plate just gave me another reason to despise the Leafs, not that I needed more reasons.
