Ok, nevermind what I said yesterday. Swing away lads! I do think an even greater future of aggressive hitting and remarkable plate discipline is ahead for this young team, but let us bask in the beauty of Bo's oppo taco combo for now.

I did check fangraphs today to look at BABIP for the last two weeks. Jays at .242, second lowest in the league. It was not my imagination that everything we hit seemed to find someone until last night, and we did hit some hard ones in previous games. Here's to more balls finding the gaps tonight, and to more finding the seats!

If Jay's win tonight, I think they are actually in very decent shape. They may only need to go 2-1 against O's to squeak into a tiebreaker.

If Jays do that, 2 of below 3 would need to happen to eliminate Jays:

- Yankee's win 2 of 3 from TBR

- Sox win 3 of 4 from BAL, WAS

- Mariners win 3 of 3 from LAA

As an aside, it feels like rest of AL is conspiring to screw the Blue Jays. Red Sox winning 7 in a row just to be swept by the NYY was the worst possible outcome of the previous 10 games. Any results from 6 SEA/OAK games other one of the teams sweeping all games would have been fine. Houston collapsed leaving TBR nothing to play for. LAA shutting down Ohtani for SEA series.

I digress, tonight will be fun! If they win we are in for a wild final weekend. Plus, this team is certainly capable of winning the next 4 (and making it hard to imagine they don't get at least get a Game 163).
