I’ve been back in Toronto for a few weeks, seen two games at The Dome (sorry), spoken to Jamie Campbell and my main comment after not being here for 10 years is: ‘WTF happened to the traffic and what free agent in their right mind would actually choose to come here because of it?’
I literally moved out of GTA because of the traffic, it was that bad. It was depressing me. I've been so happy living out in Prince Edward County, it's unbelievable I stayed there so long.
Firstly, you're worth every penny! Secondly, thanks for splitting my 2 questions. Your answer on the Soto question gave a lot of insight I didn't think about (but you obviously agree it would be SO COOL if they sign him). I get the Horwitz/Schneider comparison you mentioned but I think everyone initially saw Schneider as the power bat of the future. I don't see Horwitz as that, though apparently some people do. Like I said, what I like about him is his approach, bat to ball skills and consistently good eye. I think he's a very steady, reliable hitter and could be for a long time.
And lastly, the more insight you gave on the 6 inning rule contemplation, the more stupid it sounds. I thought it was dumb from the get-go and you totally confirmed it. Go Stoets!!
