Fans are a funny bunch. The pitchforks came out again for Matz not being signed by the Jays. Cries of mismanagement by Shapiro and Atkins again. AA's name gets paraded around...again. So silly. I really think what they offered was a stretch to begin with, and that the QO would have been a distinct overpay that may have cost us bullpen depth. One does start to feel like Matz and his agent kind of hung the Jays out to dry though. Sure would have liked to have signed DeScalfani or Wood. No shortage of options still though.
