But then again over the past few years that a lot of these people in high-powered positions are also kinda stupid, so maybe I have to rethink my opinions.
Re The boardroom stuff. Ed will likely use his family's controlling interest to kick all the board members off who voted against him, install new people, and be installed as Chairman again, and then that will be the end of Joe Natale.

This Bloomberg piece has some good details on the new developments -- which apparently haven't been submitted to the company as yet, so I guess it's status quo until that happens.
Loft roster plans have been all the scuttlebutt in the fansided conversation. Get Thor! Get Ray and Semien back. Get Ramírez too. Trade Gurri. Trade everybody not Vlady and Bo. Some folks have very unrealistic ideas about what is possible. Not that possibilities don't abound.
As you say, more modest acquisitions are much more likely for the kind of money that is going to be available. Ramírez would be a big splash of course, but maybe Eduardo Escobar? In any case I see how alarm bells went off when you read that tweet. They spelled calibre wrong. Very fishy.
Haha. I think there's definitely some leaks going on over there. All sorts of non-traditional people break news about this team. And I don't think this number necessarily precludes them from doing something at the top of the market, I just think they'll have to find some bargains along the way -- not dissimilar to the last two winters, just maybe not a giant spending spree.
