Interesting that Walker referred to Borucki as a luxury. I think I understand what he means but I think it’s a word that actually takes some shine away from how great Borucki has looked over the past year.
I'd say he was more saying that having *two* power lefties who don't need to be shielded from RHB is a luxury. Definitely wasn't taking anything away from Borucki, imo.

Texas Covid cases on a serious downtrend, outdoor atmosphere, masks required, way ahead of us as far as vaccinations go. Maybe it's not that big a deal? They had a thousand cases today and I think 30 million people live there. I am also 100 percent not a scientist. But neither is every smug Jays fan who is shitting all over this. Someone has to go first.
I was curious what Rangers fans thought of it and so I checked out the comments at Lone Star Ball...definitely a lot of snarky remarks about the absurdity of a full stadium. So even if Rangers fans can and will fill a stadium, plenty of that same fan base still think it's a bad idea.
No one has to go first in early April when there's still, by your own admission, 1,000 cases a day there. That's absurd. It was unnecessary, reckless, and deserves every bit of the derision it got, and probably more.
Defending a billionaire baseball team that's trying to make a buck at the expense of public health ain't it.
I think I would agree it's probably a bit early. But it also might be that outdoor transmission with masks on is rare enough, and a third of the population (likely the most vulnerable?) is vaccinated. So it really might not be reckless. Not a big billionaire fan either, mostly I am excited that people are able to attend baseball games. If it's safe, that's great!
