My theory on Manoah: could it be that Manoah's "camp" believe that he himself is injured? But the Blue Jays' medicals disagree? So Manoah sits out because he doesn't want to aggravate anything, Jays can't/won't put him on the IL, and the "cover story" of endless medical tests is actually a kind of half truth.

But yeah, I hope it’s not as bad as it sounds and his teammates are as mad as I’d be, and that things get ironed out and he can get his career back on track. (Seems like a lot to have to be hoping for but the alternatives aren’t great!)

Possible. Doesn’t really jibe with how badly Manoah seems to want to take the ball, but I couldn’t rule it out.
