On Vlad, Turner, Schneider, the other Schneider, Vogey, Varsho, the good old days, catchers, IKF, Buffalo, Yariel, Gausman, Bassitt, Berríos, Jackie Robinson Day, and more!
Totally off topic, but I just looked this up and couldn't believe it was true. Ross Chicken Strips-ling has not won a game since leaving the Jays in 2022....wow. No wins last year, no wins so far this year. Talk about lightning in a bottle.
Wow! Shame we couldn't capture that with Mitch White who was supposed to sort of replace Strips. He seemed like a serviceable pitcher with the Dodgers. I also just noticed Nick Frasso is out for the year for surgery on his shoulder for a torn labrum. Those are usually the kiss of death for most pitchers. Too bad for both pitchers.
So Cavan Biggio hits a line drive just inside the line into right field, and it hops over the lowest
fence I have ever seen for a ground rule double. I don't recall this sort of thing before the remodel, but then I am in Sweden and relying on decades old and decaying memories. Inquiring minds want to know how tall is that fence and how does it compare to other parks in the league, and ah, is this some sort of strategy? Having Toronto become "the place where all your line drives become doubles" doesn't look like a clear win for the home team to me, but I could be wrong about that ....
Pretty sure I've seen a few other parks that have a similar outfield box configuration that jut out like that. They are not coming to mind at the moment...I feel like it's a NL team, the Cardinals maybe.
Quick note on Turner - he always seems to start slow when it comes to Home Runs. Throughout his years in LA, his power kick in around June or July as the temperatures rise. I didn't pay close enough attention to his one year in Boston.
Impenetrable and Frank Stallone in the same post. A+

That's a triple in many parks.

"Future Vegas Athletics All-Star" Why you gotta do the Jewish James Loney like that?
Lol the next Ryan Noda!
There’s no shame in it.

Good to know!
